PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a device body compact in a sheet discharging device for an image forming device by reducing component parts in a machine body. SOLUTION: In the image forming device comprising an image forming device body 51 having an image forming mechanism, and provided with a sheet discharging port and a sheet discharging mechanism to discharge recording paper P through the sheet discharging port, it is provided with the machine body 1 installed on the image forming device body 51, a discharged sheet feeding mechanism 2 provided on the machine body 1 to receive the recording paper P discharged from the sheet discharging port in the image forming device body 51, and discharge the recording paper P in a perpendicular direction to a sheet discharging direction from the sheet discharging port, a recording paper detection sensor 3 provided on the image forming device body 51 to detect the recording paper P at a position on the upstream side of the sheet discharging direction to the sheet discharging port, and output a signal, and a sheet discharge drive instruction circuit 4 to drive a cross feed mechanism based on the signal outputted from the recording paper detection sensor 3. This sheet discharge drive instruction circuit 4 is provided on the image forming device body 51.
