PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving cable device of an elevator capable of preventing vibration of a moving cable due to elevating operation of a car to prevent the cable from being caught due to such vibration. SOLUTION: The moving cable 3 is suspended in a hoist way 1 by forming a drooping curved part 4, and a pulley 5 for applying tension to the movable cable 3 is disposed in a striding manner on the drooping curved part 4. A groove-like strip 6 having a groove-like cross section is erected in the hoist way 1 to store a fixed part suspending lower side of the moving cable 3 in the groove, and the pulley 5 is engaged with a groove-shaped opening part with a void. A brush body 10 is provided in the state of blocking up the groove- shaped opening part, and the pulley 5 is pivoted and engaged with the groove- shaped strip 6 to provide a guide device 11 elevating along a designated path. Thus, the moving cable 3 in the groove-shaped strip 6 is held by the brush body 10, and the pulley 5 engaged with the moving cable 3 elevates along the designated path to prevent vibration.
