PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll paper with favorable precision in length. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing roll paper rolled up from one lengthwise end side of long continuous paper comprising repetition of units each composed of a ticket surplus part 2, a main ticket part 3, and a stub part 4, in which at least the ticket surplus part 2 and the main ticket part 3 are parted from each other by perforations 6, rolling of the repetitive units 5 is started from the ticket surplus part 2, the ticket surplus part 2, the stub part 4, and the ticket part 3 are rolled up in this order, and rolling is ended at the ticket part 3. The rolling end of the roll paper 1 can thus cut at the position of the perforations 6, and precision in cutting the rolling end need not be strictly adjusted in a cutting mechanism, for example, thereby a roll paper with favorable precision in length can be obtained.
