PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident that, when a customer who has rented at a shop of CDs, video tapes or the like enters another shop having a theftproof system similar to that of the former shop while carrying an article in a bag or a box together with a data carrier or a theftproof tag, a sensor for sensing the data carrier or the tag placed at an entrance of the shop cannot sense the carrier or the tag put on the article nor make an alarm sound, causing the customer to be mistaken for a thief by a shop clerk. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding bag for a rental information medium comprises a base material which is formed as a bag and responsible for strength and a metallized layer deposited on an internal and/or external surface of the base material.
