PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resinous-deposit removal apparatus for a coating material which is excellent in capability for removing a resinous deposit or an odorous component occurring from e.g. a synthetic resin used as a component of a coating film. SOLUTION: In a hot-air drying oven for coating, a part of a gas in the oven is sucked and introduced into a removal apparatus equipped with a cooling apparatus having a jet scrubber installed therein, and a solvent, a resin decomposition product, a resinous deposit, etc., contained in an exhaust gas are removed with a jet scrubber in the removal apparatus. By replenishing the removal apparatus with a diaphragm liquid and/or a UF filtrate occurring during electrodeposition coating, solids contained in the liquid or filtrate are removed and water in the liquid or filtrate is simultaneously vaporized, thus reducing the volume of the liquid or filtrate.
