PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a shutoff valve which can surely close a beer passage by a pressure of a carbon dioxide when no beer remains in a beer tank. SOLUTION: The shutoff valve is located in the middle of a liquid passage energized by a gas pressure and includes a primary passage, a secondary passage and a valve chest. A valve seat is provided on the secondary passage of the valve chest, while a spherical valve whose specific gravity is smaller than that of a liquid in the passage is provided in the valve chest. The valve seat is positioned at the place lower than an inlet to the valve chest of the primary passage. A reset valve is further provided in parallel with the valve seat. The reset valve uses a means for normally closing an outlet communicating with the secondary passage.
