PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to guess the origin of an incoming call with an unregistered telephone number, to easily register a telephone number and information such as the designation or address corresponding to the telephone number, and to search an already registered telephone number even when the user forgets the registration name in searching the already registered telephone number. SOLUTION: An area code and the place name of the area code are preliminarily stored so as to be made correspond to each other in an area code/place name data storing part 103. When called, an area code detecting part 101 detects the area code from the received telephone number. Moreover, a place name searching part 102 searches the place name data corresponding to the detected area code from the area code/place name data storing part 103. Then, the received place name data are displayed at a display 104.
