PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system that can lengthen the service life of a control type lead-acid battery. SOLUTION: This charging system has (A) a step for discharging a discharge quantity equivalent to 5-10% of nominal capacity after charging the control valve type lead-acid battery in a full state, and (B) a step for repeating a step for discharging the control valve type lead-acid battery and storing the discharge quantity and a step for charging 100-103% as a specified cycle until reaching 5-30 cycles, and (C) returns to the step (A) in the case of reaching the specified cycle, thus repeating the steps (A), (B) and (C).
