PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system by which a terminal confirms data received via a network and whether or not the data are outputted is discriminated, and to provide its image forming method. SOLUTION: In the image forming system a FAX 1 and PCs 21-23 are in LAN connection via a router 3. The FAX 1 is provided with a hard disk that stores a file resulting from applying image processing to facsimile data and a memory that stores dial numbers from opposite parties and respective IP addresses of the PCs 21-23 in cross-reference with each other. The FAX 1 discriminates to which of the PCs 21-23 transmission data are addressed on the basis of a dial number of a sender. The FAX 1 informs the PC with the object IP address about the existence of the received data on the basis of the discrimination and the PC receiving the notice acquires the reception data from the FAX 1 on the basis of this discrimination. The PC discriminates whether or not the acquired reception data are to be printed out and prints out the received data as required, the image data are not printed out in waste. |
