PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce inductance that causes increase in the jumping voltage at switching and increase of power loss, accompanying upsizing of a power converter. SOLUTION: The reduction in inductance is achieved by the use of a semiconductor device and a converter, using the semiconductor device that is characterized, such that a positive-side conductor and a negative-side conductor bridge- connect semiconductor switches as large width conductors and are so piled as to sandwich an insulating material, that the positive-side conductor and the negative-side conductor are extended from a case of the semiconductor device, and that an electrolytic capacitor is connected to the extended portion of the piled positive and negative-side conductors. Thus, jumping voltage at switching and switching loss in the semiconductor device can be reduced, and then the semiconductor device and the power converter that output a larger current can be provided. |
