PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make performable a stable operation in the variable speed reproduction, to reduce the cost of an information reproducing device and to save the power consumption. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a changeover means 13 for changing-over the frequency selectivity Q of a band-pass filter into pluralities of stages. The selectivity Q is changed-over based on the average frequency of an information signal by a frequency detecting means 10 and a frequency comparing means 14. Otherwise the device is constituted to change-over the selectivity Q based on a rotation control difference, based on whether information is correctly demodulated or not or based on whether access is being operated or not. Thereby, the circuit configuration is simplified to reduce the cost and to save the power consumption. The reliability is secured under an unfavorable condition such as a drop-out or a cross talk in a normal reproduction state and also the stability is secured in a transitional state.
