PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce condensing beam diameter in oscillating direction, in the wave front of light made incident on an objective lens and to improve recording density by prescribed the direction. SOLUTION: Light, excited from a semiconductor laser 1, and converted into a parallel light beam by a collimator lens 5, is made incident on the objective lens 8 of high NA and a condensing spot is formed within an optical disk 9. Light, excited from the semiconductor laser 1 is S polarized light oscillating in the orthogonal direction to the surface of a sheet of paper. |
