PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to reduce a mounting space and perform thermal protection with a simple construction at low cost. SOLUTION: A battery pack has a secondary battery 1 and a control circuit 3 which controls ON or OFF state of switch elements Q1, Q2 for controlling charge and discharge of the secondary battery 1. Resistive elements for detecting temperature D to reduce a driving current are connected to the switch elements Q1, Q2 which control charge and discharge when temperature rises to high. A driving circuit of the switch elements Q1, Q2 achieves a function of thermal protection without PTCs or thermal fuses in current circuits for charge and discharge. When temperature rises to high, diode elements as the resistive elements for detecting temperature, increase reverse currents. The diode elements are connected to the switch elements, at least the switch for controlling discharge, in the direction of decrease of their driving currents.
