PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for downloading mass data of a mobile wireless terminal capable of a high-speed data communication are provided to down the mass data by providing an expanded memory. CONSTITUTION: A memory card interface unit(62) performs an interface for inputting and outputting data to and from a memory card(20). A memory unit(60) embeds a download program for downloading mass data from a high-speed data communication network in the memory card(20). A control unit(50) downloads the mass data of the high-speed communication network selected by a user in the memory card(20) using the download program through the memory card interface unit(62).
