PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by making the circuit scale comparatively small. SOLUTION: A signal processing apparatus 40 obtains output left and right sound signals by convoluting each impulse response from a sound source to the left and right ear of listner calculated beforehand by measurement or calculation using digital FIR(finite impulse response filters 41, 42 to 48, with regard to the input sound signals. In a head phone device where sound images generated by the input sound signals are localized outside the head of the listener by driving left and right speakers 12L and 12R of a head phone 12 using the output left and right sound signals, the response of the second area A2 of this impulse response divided into a first and second area A1 and A2 in terms of time beforehand is thinned out and convoluted by the digital FIR response filters 41, 42 to 48. |
