PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the constant level of a wobble signal extracted from a recording area, a reproduction only area and an unusable area, which are shaped meandering respectively, in an optical recording medium. SOLUTION: In DVD-RW, a groove track is meander-shaped at a groove part for recording information and the unusable area and the reproduction only area in charge of preventing illegal copying are arranged by a pit string, where plural phase pits meander. By setting a pit depth (the depth of the groove), the duty of the pit string and a wobbling amplitude on a prescribed condition in each area, the output level of the wobble signal extracted, based on the wobbling amplitude, is kept to be constant in each area. As a result, in recording and reproducing of DVD-RW, precise synchronization control can be performed. |
