PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device, capable of easily coping with noise, while maintaining stability of the output of a main amplifying circuit. SOLUTION: This electrodeless discharge lamp-lighting device is provided with a rectifier DB for full-wave rectification of an alternating current power source Vs; a step-up/down chopper circuit having a switching element Q1 to be controlled for ON/OFF by a chopper control circuit 1; a second power source circuit 2, to which the terminal based voltage of a smoothning capacitor C1 is input and which outputs the direct current voltage; an oscillating and amplifying circuit 3 for converting the output voltage of the second power source circuit 2 to the high frequency voltage; and a main amplifying circuit for amplifying the high-frequency voltage of the oscillating and amplifying circuit 3, while using the output voltage of the step-up/down chopper circuit as the power source voltage. The negative electrode side terminal of the chopper control circuit 1, the negative electrode side terminal of the oscillating and amplifying circuit 3 and the negative electrode terminal of the smoothning capacitor C1 are set to a common an electric potential common to each other. |
