PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera for improving the visibility of an LCD display, when an object is dark, and for suppressing the deterioration of the speed of AF processing, when the object is dark. SOLUTION: This electronic camera is provided with a luminance judging part 83 for detecting the luminance of an object fetched by a first image pickup element 12 by using the moving image of the object; a second image pickup element 13 having light-receiving sensitivity in an infrared region; and a display control unit 84 for comparing the luminance of the object with a preliminarily set prescribed threshold, for allowing the second image pickup element 13 for causing the moving image of the object to be captured; when the luminance of the object is smaller than the prescribed threshold, and for allowing an LCD display part 2 to display the moving image, rather than the moving image of the object to be captured by the first image pickup element 12. |
