PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing a black plate for can end with excellent openability and appropriate strength with no occurrence of burst during sterilization is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing a black plate for can end includes the steps of finish hot rolling a steel sheet with a carbon content of 0.04 to 0.06 wt.% at higher than 860°C; coiling the hot rolled steel sheet in the temperature range of 550 to 600°C; continuous annealing the hot coil in the temperature range of 610 to 650°C; and cold rolling the annealed hot coil at a reduction ratio of 20 to 30%.
