PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a managing method of a partition table to solve at least one of problems that necessity of correction arises in definition itself of a partition table of a data base with elapse of time, automatic operation of the part is necessary and table definition is necessary to be the one to hold a partitioned result. SOLUTION: The managing method of the partition table is provided at least with a definition information extraction step to extract partition definition information which can be used in new partition to be added in place of the existing partition from the existing partition of the partition table of the data base stored in a storage means and an addition step to add the new partition to the partition table in place of the existing partition based on the partition definition information extracted in the definition information extraction step.
