PURPOSE: A system and method for linking the existing email with the down-mail which downloads the email from the mail box of the sender are provided to prevent the confusion of mail use occurred in the conversion from the existing email way to the down-mail way by delivering the email between both users. CONSTITUTION: The sender(211) sends the mail to a sending mail server(212) and the other sender(201) sends the mail to the sending down-mail server(202). It is performed by SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) that delivers the mail between message delivery agents(205,215). It is performed by IMAP(Internet Message Access Protocol) or POP3(Post Office Protocol 3) that a receiver(214) gets the mail from a receiving mail box manager(207) of a receiving mail server(213), and that the other receiver(204) gets the forwarding notice mail from a receiving mail box manager(206) of a receiving down-mail server(203) and gets the original mail from a sending mail box manager(208) of a mail linkage(200) or sending down-mail server(202). In case of the latest web mail, when the sender(211) sends the mail to the sending mail server(212) or the other sender(201) sends the mail to the sending down-mail server(202), and when the receiver(204) gets the mail from the receiving mail box manager(207) of the receiving down-mail server(213) or the other receiver(214) gets the mail from the receiving mail box manager(206) of the receiving mail server(213), CGI(Common Gateway Interface) is used instead of the former communication procedure.
