PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate defect in display image caused by the variation in temperature without deteriorating the efficiency of a deflection yoke. SOLUTION: This deflection yoke comprises a pair of vertical deflection coils Lv1 and Lv2 connected in series to each other, a variable resistor VR forming the pair of vertical deflection coils Lv1 and Lv2 and a bridge circuit 2 and regulating the ratio of a current I1 to a current I2 flowing through the vertical deflection coils Lv1 and Lv2, and a thermistor Tm having such characteristics that the resistance lowers according to the in temperature and connected to the variable resistor Vr parallel with each other.
