PURPOSE: Provided is a mother-of-pearl accessory made by using a screen printing technique, by which it is possible to mass produce the mother-of-pearl products of high quality which is useful as tourist products and traditional products. CONSTITUTION: The mother-of-pearl accessory comprises an aluminium thin layer(2) having a release paper(1) attached; a pattern layer(3) formed on the aluminium thin layer(2) by screen printing; and an epoxy resin layer(5) coated over the pattern layer(3). The accessory can be obtained by attaching a release paper(1) to an aluminium thin layer(2); forming a pattern layer(3) on the aluminium thin layer(2) by screen printing; forming a mother-of-pearl decoration layer by adhering mother-of-pear pieces to the pattern layer(3); forming a coating layer of epoxy resin; and subjecting the obtained mother-of-pearl accessory(A) to a temperature of 70 to 200 deg.C for 24 hours, followed by drying at room temperature.
