PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive coaxial connector capable of reducing the number of production processes and excellent in quality, and communication equipment provided with this coaxial connector. SOLUTION: This coaxial connector 1 comprises a synthetic resin-made insulating case halved into a lower insulating case 2A and an upper insulating case 2B, and a metallic fixed terminal 21, movable terminal 31 and external terminal 41. The terminals 21 and 31 are preliminarily fixed to the upper insulating case 2B by thermal fusion. Thereafter, the respective fixing parts 23 and 33 of the terminals 21 and 31 are nipped by the insulating cases 2A and 2B. The assembling work of the insulating cases 2A and 2B to the terminals 21, 31 and 41 is performed from one direction.
