PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system with excellent user-friendliness and high performance by optimally executing a control method for a zoom lens for a film photographing means and a control method for a zoom lens for an electronic photographing means depending on a photographing mode. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 conducting various controls of an entire camera in the camera system of this invention controls zooming of the electronic photographing means in matching with step zooming by outputting an electronic zoom value corresponding to a focal distance of a film photographing lens 4 to a DSP 19 when a photographing mode including an operation of the film photographing means (a hybrid photographing mode or a film photographing mode) with a mode selector SW 24 or controls execution of consecutive zoom of the electronic photographing means by outputting an electronic zooming value different from the focal distance of the film photographing lens 4 to the DSP 19 when the mode selector SW 24 selects a mode (electronic photographing mode) to operate only the electronic photographing means.
