PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse signal generating device having flexibility that can always position a detected object correctly, in any environment. SOLUTION: The pulse signal generating device comprises a detection assembled body and an exterior case for storing the detection assembled body. The detection assembled body is configured, such that a magnetic element wire, which possibly causes large Barkhausen jump on a magnetic filed generating means including a magnet, is disposed to generate a pulse signal according to shift of the object to be detected. The exterior case has a mounting part and a positioning guide. The positioning guide is formed on the inner surface of the exterior case and positions the detection assembled body on the mounting part, such that the detection assembled body is disposed at the desired position relatively to the shift of the body to be detected.
