PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high gain photoelectric converter capable of compensating for a dark current component even when a slight deviation exists in dark current characteristics of each photoelectric conversion means. SOLUTION: The high gain photoelectric converter comprises an arithmetic means 10 for calculating a gain and a reference voltage in response to a temperature of a heat bonding plate measured, by a temperature sensor 9 and the dark current characteristics and temperature drift characteristics of photodetectors 1a and 1b, a variable gain amplifier 11 for amplifying a voltage signal passed through a low-pass filter 7 in response to the gain; a reference voltage generator 12 for generating the reference voltage; and an adder 13 for adding the voltage signal voltage-converted by a signal current/voltage converter 5, the voltage signal amplified by the amplifier 11, and the reference voltage generated from the generator 12.
