PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector 1 causing no connection failure without load being applied to each of contacts 14, 24 when fixing a board 60 to a casing in the fitted state of a pin connector 10 and a socket connector 20. SOLUTION: This electric connector 1 with the pin connector 10 and the socket connector 20 detachably fitted to each other is equipped with a locator 40 having a groove part 42 sized to allow the entry of the socket connector 20, and provided with an engaging means with the socket connector 20. The socket connector 20 is mounted to the locator 40 and floatingly fixed to the board 60. The length of a socket contact 24 entering the locator 40 is set to 5-10 mm to provide the socket connector 20 with a floating function. |
