PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for an electronic device which can mount packages horizontally and vertically. SOLUTION: Board connectors 13 are mounted on a center board 12 built into a unit frame 11 of the unit for the electronic device 10. Connectors 17 mounted on a package 15 can be connected to the board connectors 13 whether orientation of the package 15 is horizontal or vertical. Guides 19 are provided on lower, upper, left and right sides of the unit frame 11. When the package 15 is mounted, the guides 19 guide the package 15. The unit 10 can mount the package 15 horizontally and vertically.
