ALARM METHOD USING MUSIC FILE IN CELLULAR PHONE

PURPOSE: An alarm method using a music file in a cellular phone is provided to output a music used as an alarm sound using a mounted MP3(Motion Pictures Expert Group Audio Layer 3) function when performing an alarm function. CONSTITUTION: A control unit checks whether a set alarm time is reached(22). If the set alarm time is reached, the control unit judges whether an MP file is set as an alarm music(204). If the MP3 file is set as the alarm music, the control unit controls an MP3 control unit so that an MP3 function is operated(206). The control unit judges whether an MP3 ear jack is connected to an interface connector of a cellular phone for outputting the alarm music to one between an earphone and an external speaker(208). The control unit outputs the alarm music at a set volume level during a set maintaining time(210). If the MP3 ear jack is not connected to the interface connector of the cellular phone, the control unit outputs the alarm music to the external speaker(212).
