A column for suspending a device provided with fastening elements from a ceiling or the like. The column comprises a mounting which is adapted to be attached to the ceiling and a pillar whose one end is connected to the mounting and whose other end is connected to a mounting plate. At the mounting plate, a number of supporting arms are each movably fastened by means of a pin element and pivotable in a plane parallel to the mounting plate. Each supporting arm has en elongate opening configuration which extends in the longitudinal direction of the supporting arm and in which one of the fastening elements is secured. To position the fastening element in the opening configuration, the fastening element can be placed in a suitable position therein and/or the supporting arm can be moved in its longitudinal direction relative to its pin element. |
