PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data sales system and a data sales method capable of winning any harder sales competition by reducing the data sales price without reducing the profit. SOLUTION: A purchaser is asked whether or not to accept the insertion of an advertisement in a recording medium in advance, and then, advertisement information is inserted in the recording medium in which the sales data is already written or will be written only when the permission of the purchaser is obtained. The fee is charged to the purchaser for the recording medium in which the sales data is already written while reducing the charging amount, and the advertisement fee according to the advertisement information inserted in the recording medium with the sales data written therein is collected from an advertiser having an advertisement information source.
