PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress jaggy of a magnified image without causing deterioration in image quality. SOLUTION: An image obtained from a CCD 12 is magnified through a digital zoom section 14 and a magnifying section 22, before being stored in an SDRAM 18. Jaggy of the magnified image is suppressed through a median filter 10 and a CPU 20 performs filtering, while varying the filtering effect (degree of filtering) of the median filter 10, depending on the magnification of the image. Deteriorating of image accompanying filtering can be suppressed by lowering the filtering effect, when magnification is low. |
