PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmissive radiation type X-ray tube having a long life and a manufacturing method thereof by inhibiting an evaporation of an anode target. SOLUTION: The transmissive radiation type X-ray tube is provided with an X-ray transmission window plate 37 airtightly joined to a part of vacuum container 33, a target thin film 39 provided in contacted with a surface of the vacuum side of this X-ray transmission window plate 37 and generating an X-ray, and a cathode structure 35 for generating an electron beam irradiation this target thin film 39. The X-ray transmission window plate 37 is formed by a diamond.
