PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite machine that is provided with a more easily usable dial-in function, simplifies an operation required to read JOB data, immediately informs a user of the composite machine about a cause to a fault on the occurrence of the fault with respect to other functions when one function is in use with excellent user-friendliness. SOLUTION: The composite machine of this invention can register a PC-FAX number required for manifesting a PC-FAX number with respect to a dial-in function. When a prescribed hard key is depressed while a FAX menu (copy menu) is displayed on a touch panel, FAX purpose (copying) JOB data can be read. Furthermore, the FAX menu indicates a button to jump to a menu with respect to a faulty function. In addition, a facsimile reception mode in a power-save state can be selected either of a printout or contents of memory storage.
