PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POC(Power On Clear) circuit the reset signal of which is not released within a range of a power supply voltage VDD that is equal to or less than a detected voltage VPOC and to provide a band gap circuit using the POC circuit. SOLUTION: The MOS band gap circuit 100 comprises: a startup means 170; a reference voltage circuit section 110 that outputs a reference signal with a prescribed voltage, a first internal control signal and a second internal control signal; a control voltage generating circuit section 120 that outputs first and second voltage division voltages resulting from dividing a received voltage (the first voltage division voltage is selected to be greater than or equal to the second voltage division voltage) and a startup means control voltage; an INV(inverter) 130 that receives the first voltage division voltage and outputs is inverted voltage signal; and a comparison means 140 provided with comparator circuits 150, 160 that receive the second voltage division voltage outputted from the control voltage generating circuit section 120 and the second internal control signal outputted from the reference voltage circuit section 120 for the comparison.
