PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating device having speedy warmup, superior heat efficiency, and high safety and reliability, in which heat generation of an induction coil is restrained. SOLUTION: This induction heating device 40 is composed basically of a heat roller 1 to generate heat by a varying magnetic field, and a pressure roller 2 to press a recording paper 8 as a subject to be heated to the heat roller 1. At an outer circumferential part of the heat roller 1, a magnetic field generating means 3 is disposed. This magnetic field generating means 3 is composed of a supporting member 5 having a semi-arc shaped cross sectional surface, and the induction coil 4 comprising a conductive thin plate. The heat roller 1 receives the varying magnetic field generated by this magnetic field generating means 3, to be heated by eddy current up to a prescribed temperature. By thus composing the induction coil 4 of the conductive thin plate, cross-sectional area of a coil wire element can be large compared to that of a conductive film, and a total resistance value of the induction coil 4 can be small, thereby self-heat generation (Joule loss) at the induction coil 4 due to supply of the current can be reduced.
