PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of yawing and to accurately perform tracking adjustment. SOLUTION: The pickup device is equipped with a lens 10 for emitting a beam to the signal face of a disk 7, a lens holder 1 for holding the lens 10, a bracket 3 for rockingly movably supporting the lens holder 1, and a tracking coil 40 that is arranged in the lens holder 1 and that is energized at rockingly driving of the lens holder 1. The lens holder 1 is provided with an adjusting mechanism 45, that horizontally moves the tracking coil 40 in the direction orthogonally crossing a virtual line L connecting the lens 10 and the disk center.
