PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem in the conventional case that a menu is displayed every time a reproducing of one group is completed and the selection has to be made for another group to be reproduced. SOLUTION: When a reproducing of one group recorded on a DVD is completed and a menu display instruction is recorded, a control section 2 display a group selection menu on a display section 10. When an operating section 1 is not operated within a prescribed time after the displaying of group selection menu, the section 2 controls a DVD data reading section 3 so that a reproducing of a next group is automatically started.
