PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leakage notification system surely recognizing a gas leakage alarm at low cost using a power line carrier system and a communication device such as a portable telephone, even if gas apparatuses are separated from its installation place. SOLUTION: The power line 3 laid in a house is connected to a communication control device 4, a first terminal control device 5, and a second terminal control device 6. The first terminal control device 5 receives gas leakage detection by a gas leakage sensor 52 and transmits it as the gas leakage detection signal onto the power line 3 by the power line carrier system. The second terminal control device 6 responds to the gas leakage detection signal sent on the power line 3 by the power line carrier system and controls an alarm 62 to issue the gas leakage alarm. The communication control device 4 responds to the gas leakage detection signal and communicates the purport to the communication device 2. The first and second terminal control devices 5 and 6 are detachably attached to a plug socket 10 provided in the power line 3.
