PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker center detecting device that can detect the center of a marker even on an image with a poor imaging condition, in a system for optically reading a code pattern from a recording medium with information recorded as a two-dimensional code pattern with a positioning marker and for regenerating the information. SOLUTION: A differentiating processing is carried out by a differentiating device 104 for image data based on a read code pattern. According to the obtained differentiated image data, a region limiting device 105 limits a target region of a marker center detecting operation. According to the multiple luminance value of each pixel of the image data in the limited target region of the marker center detecting operation, an arithmetic device 106 provides an operation to detect the center of a marker. Even under a poor imaging condition such as shading and even when a stain is present in a prohibited region of the target image, the marker center position can be obtained accurately. |
