PART MOUNTING INSPECTING METHOD FOR CIRCUIT BOARD AND ITS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the correlating work of images of parts by a worker for the correlating process of the images of the parts mounted on a circuit board with the master data of the reference images of the parts requires a long work time on the circuit board having a large number of part items and a considerable time until a mounting inspection. SOLUTION: In this part mounting inspecting method for the circuit board, the color image of the whole circuit board mounted with parts is generated, and a color process is applied to the generated color image of the whole circuit board to extract the shape and position of the image of a part. The color image of the part located at the position corresponding to the extracted position of the color image of the whole circuit board is compared with the color reference image based on the shape and position of the image of the extracted part to specify the part corresponding to the color image of the part, and the shape and position of the color image of the specified part are stored.
