The invention concerns compounds of formula (I) prepared by quaternizing a compound (II) with at least a compound R<3> - X<-> wherein: R<1> = H or -CH3; R<2> = -CH3; -C2H5; -C2H7 or - C4H9; and the compound (I) is optionally quaternized on one of the nitrogen atoms, symbolised by the fact that the R3's, X<->- and <+> associated with said nitrogen are between square brackets; when compound (I) is quaternized on one single nitrogen, R<3> and X<-> represent the following: (1) R<3> = -CH3 or -CH2C6H5; and X<-> = Cl<-> or CH3OSO3<->; or (2) R<3> = C1-C12 alkyl; and X<-> = Br<-> or I<->; when compound (I) is quaternized on two nitrogen atoms, both X<->'s can be identical or different and both R<3>'s can be identical, in which case: R<3> = C5-C12 alkyl; and X<-> = CH3OSO3<->, Br<-> or I<->; or different, in which case: (4) one of the R<3>'s = -CH3 or -CH2C6H5; and X<-> = Cl<-> or CH3OSO3<->; and the other R<3> = a C5-C12 alkyl group; and X<-> = Br<-> or I<->.
