The present invention provides a conduit for delivering air from a humidifier to a mask. The conduit comprises an electrical heat-source for for providing a heat output for heating the conduit, a means for connecting the electrical heat-source to the power supply, and an insulating layer at least in part surrounding the conduit. The heat-source has an electrical resistivity and the insulating layer has insulation properties that are selected such that the power provided by a standard low voltage power supply is sufficient to provide the predetermined heat output.
