<p>A transponder-initiated transaction system with an account transponder (102). The account transponder (102) may be embedded within a watch, a key chain or other personal article. The transponder communicates account information to a radio-frequency (RF) enabled point of sale device (POS) terminal allowing transactions with accessing a remote data processing facility. Partial or complete account information may be stored local or remote sites. New account (e.g. credit accounts, debits accounts, cash accounts, and special purpose vending accounts) are activated via a website in which the user enters a transporder identification number (transporder ID).</p> |
