The traffic data provision method uses data signaling vehicles, e.g. floating cars, (FCD1,FCD2,FCD3) which circulate with the traffic and which provide time data for each successive regulated network node within the traffic network, during the interval between passage of an entry point ahead of the traffic node and entry into a network section ahead of the next network node.
