PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing high image clarity cold rolled strips through controlling of surface roughness of the cold rolled strip using electro discharge texturing in manufacturing a cold rolled strip used for outer panels of automobile and home electronics is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing high image clarity cold rolled strip is characterized in that a cold rolled strip having high image clarity index of 90% or more, average wavelength of 0.5 micrometer or less in the cold rolling step and average wavelength of 0.4 micrometer or less in the skin-pass rolling step is manufactured by using cold rolling rolls and skin-pass rolling rolls machined by electro discharge texturing, maintaining average roughness of upper and lower parts of the cold rolling rolls to 2.4 micrometers or less and 2.3 micrometers or less respectively, maintaining average roughness of upper and lower parts of the skin-pass rolling rolls to 1.9 micrometers or less and 1.7 micrometers or less, applying capacity mode or impulse mode as an electro discharge texturing mode in case of the cold rolling rolls, applying an impulse mode as an electro discharge texturing mode in case of the skin-pass rolling rolls, and controlling elongation of the skin-pass rolling to 1.0 % or less in the skin-pass rolling mill.
