The cutter hood is divided into separate chambers and of double wall construction, with the cooling chambers connected by pipes to a cooling system with a cooling medium (9). The outer wall of the cutter hood may have cooling pipes covered by an insulation. Flat cooling elements may be fastened on the inner wall of the cutter hood and connected to the cooling system by pipes.
