A blower shaft (4) is connected to a drive shaft (2) of an internal combustion engine (1) through an overrunning clutch (3). A coolant air blower is driven by an electric motor (7). A rotor (8) of motor is arranged at external perimeter of blower while a stator (9) is connected stationary to the engine.
