A communication system which performs communications among respective nodes (N1-N4) constituting a bus type communication network by using set communication parameters, and which comprises one master node (N1) selected from nodes (N1-N4), and at least one slave node (N2-N4) that are nodes (N2-N4) other than the master node (N1), are logically star-connected with the master node (N1), use communication parameters negotiated with the master node (N1), and perform communications with other nodes (N2-N4) via the master node (N1).
